Making Music in Notts
Nottingham is an amazing city with so much to offer! Keep watching this space for opportunities with our wonderful partner organisations to make music and take part in fun cultural activities throughout the year.
RSE Day, an initiative by the Nottingham City Council, is a day to celebrate great Relationships and Sex Education in schools and other settings. This year it will be held on Thursday, 30 June 2022 and whether you're a parent or a school teacher, there are many ways to get your children invovled! Find out more by visiting the RSE website.
Nottingham Music Hub is excited to take part in the RSE celebrations this year. We have created a Global Party Music Playlist for you and your young people to enjoy. You can listen to the playlist on Spotify (link below) or on our YouTube Channel. Please note that you will need to create your own account on Spotify to listen to the full playlist. We've also included some great RSE resources created by the organisers - download for more ideas!

Ultimate Flyby Orchestra
The Ultimate Flyby Orchestra is an orchestra that can morph into a salsa band. One minute it could be a Big Band, the next an Asian Fusion group. A Hollywood session orchestra that transforms back into a classical orchestra or into the unknown...
The UFO consists of highly skilled musicians with links to Nottingham, who are dedicated to providing high quality performances and breaking down barriers between musical styles. Supporting the work of Nottingham Music Service (via funds raised at UFO events), the group provides an exciting and innovative alternative to the traditional orchestral experience.
UFO meets from time to time rather than regularly but will pop up to do a gig on three rehearsals (hence 'Flyby'). We are building a pool of musicians on an invitation basis and will fix the ensemble for each event, depending on availability and the forces needed for the music being performed.
Over 18 and interested in being part of the pool? Email email@example.com

It costs £70 for the term with some support available for people who might not be able to afford the full fee. For more information, please visit the Playhouse website.
