Out of this World Concert

Our 'Out of this World' concert on July 18, 2017 was a great success with some riveting performances by the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra (RHYO), RHYO Intermediate, and the wonderful Jugendorchester Stadt Karlsruhe from Nottingham's twin city, Karlsruhe, Germany.

An audience of more than 200 attended the concert at St Mary's Church, Nottingham. The evening started off with some fantastic pieces by the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra, including a beautiful rendition of Lost Boy by Noise from the Next Generation winner Kelsey Shaw accompanied by the orchestra and a part of Berlioz's Trojans. Jugendorchester Stadt Karlsruhe (JOK) delighted the audience with their set. The talented young players of RHYO Intermediate took the stage after the interval and the last part of the concert was an amazing combined orchestra performance. The concert was a fantastic testament to the close friendship between Nottingham Music Service and JOK.

We were delighted to host the Lord Mayor, the Lady Mayoress and the Sheriff of Nottingham at our event. For more photographs from the concert, please browse our gallery.
