Get Connected

We are excited to launch a new event for young musicians looking to continue their musical journey with the Nottingham Music Hub! Join us for a day of learning, fun and play and get a taste of what our small group ensembles are like.

Get Connected!
Wednesday 15th June, 3pm – 6pm
Nottingham Trent University’s Music Building

Your child will attend this event with their school and get a chance to learn new skills and experience what our small group ensembles feel like. The day will end with a final massed performance.

Family members are invited to attend the performance at the end of the session, which will take place at 5.45pm – 6pm (doors open at 5.35pm). The performance is free and we are offering 2 audience places per child.

Following 'Get Connected', pupils are invited to continue making music by joining one of our groups:

String Folk Connect – Mondays 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Nottingham Playhouse

Guitar Connect – Wednesdays 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Nottingham Playhouse

Salsa Jazz Connect – Fridays 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Nottingham Playhouse

InterConnectSaturdays 9.00am – 10.30am at Nottingham College City Hub

As part of 'Get Connected', your child is also invited to an incredible multi-national orchestra performance on 21st July 2022.

The performance will feature Nottingham Music Hub's very own 'Robin Hood Youth Orchestra' as well as a youth orchestra, JOK, from Karlsruhe, Germany. Pupils will need to be available between 4.30pm to 8.30pm to take part. Please save the date for now and more information will be provided closer to the time!

To prepare for this performance, young people are asked to attend a series of online rehearsals on Wednesdays from 4.15pm – 5pm (starting from 22nd June).Once you have signed up your child to a Connect ensemble, they will be added to the Microsoft Teams channel where they will get access to these sessions.
